There is no one sort of person who finds a place at Messiah. People come at different points along the journey of their lives. Some are lifelong Lutherans. Many others come from different church backgrounds, or no church background at all. Some people come on their own. Others come with a friend or family member.
Wherever you are in your life and your faith, we have a process for helping you explore Christian life in community here at Messiah. We call this process “Welcome along the Way”. For many people this process leads to becoming active members of Messiah. With the help of a sponsor, and with a group of other newcomers and Messiah members, you are free to ask your own questions, develop relationships with others who are worshiping at Messiah, encounter the Gospel, and learn about Lutheran tradition. At the same time we give you opportunities to find your own ways to serve, without making commitments before you are ready.
